JD Annual Sports 2018 – An Event to Remember
They say that a healthy mind helps in fast thinking, makes you concentrate in your work helps you to imagine, develop and execute in a better way. The students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore, India, were so immersed in their daily activities, Projects, Workshops and JD Design Awards 2018, where the management decided to hold the JD Sports Day to divert the minds of the aspirants. There was a huge need for some physical activity to help the students to have some form of relaxation from their busy schedule of preparing intensely to build themselves. The Sports day was scheduled from 8th to 10th February 2018 for three days with indoor activities for the first day, followed by outdoor activities during the second and third day.
The first day started with carroms, chess, table tennis, where the students and faculties actively participated with a healthy competitive mind and the most important part it was filled with fun and laughter. The happiness and joy were seen on everyone’s face, for some time they forgot all the worries they had related to their projects and juries. The events for the day went until evening giving a strong positive vibe to all participants and spectators present during the sports meet.
What followed the second day was a line of fervent items from Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabbadi, running race in 100 Mts and 400 Mts, shotput and discus throw. It was really a thrill to watch that the JEDIIIANS were fiery and keen on the events they participated despite the sun. The third day of the sports meet had the most awaited event which as the cricket match between the students of Interior design course, Fashion design course, Jewellery design course, Fashion Communications course. The students and Faculties wore the JD T-shirt with #iamchange giving the ground the JD look.
It was the enthusiasm and excitement of the students with the cooperation of the Management, faculties and staff that made the Annual JD Sports Meet 2018 a triumph. A big shout to all the committee members, participants and spectators who were there to cheer their friends, it’s not often we see art student’s take part in sports so actively which will be remembered for long.
