Integrated Term Project – PGISD

On 22nd November 2018, JD Institute of Fashion Technology organised an exhibition in which students of Post Graduate Diploma in Interior and Spatial Design showcased their integrated term project.

The students were briefed to study the works of a global architect, get inspired by it and create a product or space based on the architect’s existing designs. These students had an option of choosing any inspiration without any intervention from their mentor, thus enabling them to develop their concepts.

The work commenced three weeks before the allotted exhibition date. The enthusiasm of the jediiians knew no bounds as each of the nine groups worked in building their products and created masterpieces. A healthy competition loomed around the entire institute as each team strived to give their best and not compare their works with those of the other teams, thereby respecting the opinions, concepts, and perspectives of their fellow classmates.

On the day of the exhibition, creativity dwelled from one corner to another as the participants came up with their beautiful installations, bar tables, cafes, temples and creative spaces respect to their inspirations.

The entire event was a pomp and show. Students from various departments visited the exhibition and curiously listened as the participants explained about their creations. Various faculties and other staff also visited the exhibition and offered suggestions and compliments which the students accepted humbly. Our Managing Trustee Mr. Nealesh Dalal and Mr. Pramod Adhikari (mentor at JD Institute) too were present at the exhibition and appreciated the hard work put in by these postgraduate students.

By the end of the day, all the participants were satisfied with their output as they could see their creation come to life.
