 Ilkal is a menswear street collection inspired by the traditional Ilkal saree of Karnataka. Restoring and preserving the ancient culture of hand woven sarees, this collection is a blend of futuristic style of clothing with a traditional weave. Topi teni is not just sustainable but ethical as the ilkal sarees used are completely hand woven using cotton and silk and more than 85% of weavers are women who are finding a way back to sustain themselves by producing these sarees for the collection. The artistic and modernistic collection is presented by Suma Dewan from the Diploma batch.
