Every man’s home is his castle but it’s not complete without a home bar. Adding a home bar can be a great way to provide a stylish and functional space to make personalized drinks. The designers were inspired by such eclectic invention and thought of creating their own home bar using recycled wood. The product line leans more toward urban sophisticated than industrial. By up-cycling a 25 year old headboard (of a bed that belonged to the designer’s parents) into a niche and classy home bar, or as they have titled Ghar-bar, the main objective was to focus on sustainability by reducing solid wood waste created by our advanced consumer society. Mirrors have been used as our material on the outside to reflect the good times that one would have at home. The Ghar-bar is complemented with great serve ware and adjustable racks that could be used to stock shakers, cocktail napkins, a variety of glasses for all types of beverages, matching cut-glass pieces, quirky antiques and flea-market finds. This makes the GHAR BAR a place for good times, good folks and cold bar.
