1. How do you compare yourself with other colleges?

2. Do you have online registration?

Yes, we do have online registration where we provide the bank details. Students can pay online for admission as per the following steps:
Step 1: Apply online through the application
Step 2: Seek academic counsellor support
Step 3: Banking details will be provided
Step 4: Registration

3. What are the eligibility criteria for degree courses?

Students should have passed 10th+ 12th / PUC / intermediate / 3-year polytechnic diploma from Karnataka or any equivalent courses with an aggregate of 40% and above.

4. What are the eligibility criteria for joining post graduate diploma courses?

A student should have passed graduation with an aggregate of 40% and above to join the post graduate diploma courses.

5. What is the eligibility criteria for joining diploma courses?

A student should have passed 10th/ 12th/ Graduation with an aggregate of 40% and above to join the diploma courses.

6. What are the skills and technical aspects required to apply for the course?

A student must be good in communication and have an interest in learning design. They should be eager to work hard and master their chosen domain.

7. What are the documents to be submitted for Degree/ UG courses?

Karnataka students:
• 5 passport size photographs
• 10th and 12th standard original mark sheets
• Original transfer certificate
• 2 self-attested copies of the above mentioned certificate
• SC/ST caste and income certificate (if the student belong to any category)
• OBC certificate (if the student belongs to OBC category)
• Conduct/character certificate
• Copy of Aadhar card
• Migration Certificate

Non-Karnataka students
• 5 passport size photographs
• 10th and 12th standard original mark sheets
• Original transfer certificate
• 2 self-attested copies of the above mentioned certificate
• 2 SC/ST caste and income certificate (if the student belongs to any category)
• 2 OBC certificates (if the student belongs to OBC category)
• Conduct/character certificate
• Copy of Aadhar card
• Original Migration Certificate.

Foreign Students
• 5 passport size photographs
• 10th and 12th standard original mark sheets

8. What are the documents to be submitted for post graduate diploma courses?

The documents to be submitted for post graduate diploma courses are:
• 3 passport size photographs

10. Do you provide educational loans for your courses?

We provide the required documents, where the student can apply for the educational loans through their respective banks, provided the student has taken admission by the paying registration amount.

11. Do you have hostel facilities?

We have accommodation support system with credible service providers. They will be directly connected to the students and students have multiple options to choose as per their compatibility.

12. Do you provide placements?

We do assist our students with placement provided they have 85% attendance, completed projects and portfolio submissions, received the cut-off grades, finished their compulsory internships, and successfully participated in the JD Annual Design Awards.

13. Which university are you affiliated to for Degree/ UG courses?

We are affiliated to Bangalore University.

14. Is it compulsory to participate in JD Annual Design Awards?

Yes, it is compulsory to participate in JD Annual Design Awards.

15. Is the fee inclusive of GST?

Yes, the fee is inclusive of GST.

16. What are the collaborations for Diploma/Post graduate diploma courses?

We have collaborations with EQAC and Cumulus for our Diploma/ Post graduate diploma courses and with IIID for interior diplomas courses.

17. What is ratio of gender in the class?

60% girls and 40% boys in fashion courses. 50% girls and 50% boys in interior courses.

18. Do you provide books and materials?

We do not provide any books since we have a well-stocked library that students can use to make notes. Additional materials come at an extra cost to be borne by the student.

19. Should we purchase makeup kit and cameras for your makeup and photography courses?

Yes, students should purchase makeup kits and cameras for their respective courses and also for their practical and personal purpose.

20. Are there any age limits to join the courses?

We do not have any age limits for our diploma and post graduate diploma courses. For the Bachelor degree, the applicant must be within 35 years.

21. What are the number of seats available?

• 100 seats for B. Sc
• 25 each for fashion and interior PG/ diploma courses.

22. Do you have industrial visits?

We do have industrial visits where students will be taken to different industries according to their module requirements. Transport and food are to be borne by the students.

23. What is the percentage of students placed?

All students eligible for placements are 100% placed.

24. Is your course certificate globally accepted?

Yes, our course certificate is globally accepted.

25. Do you refund the fees if we drop out of the course?

We do not refund the course fees in any circumstances.

26. Do you take students for international study tour?

We do take our students for an international study tour for 22 days where they get a chance to intern with London College of Fashion and Chelsea School of Art. The tours happen on extra charges.

27. What are the educational background of faculties?

We have well qualified faculties with specializations in their respective fields with 7 plus years of experience.

28. What are the class timings?

Degree courses: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm (Mon-Fri)

Diploma courses: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm (Morning) 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm (Afternoon)

PG Diploma: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm (Mon-Fri)

PG Fashion Communication: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri)

ADFD: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri)

ADID: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri)

Photography: 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm (3 days a week)

Make-up/Hair art: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (Mon – Fri)

29. Do you provide lateral entry for Degree courses?

We do provide lateral entry for BSc in fashion for the students who have come up with polytechnic diploma in ADFT (textiles/handlooms/leather technology) for Karnataka students only.
BSc ID – We do not provide lateral entry but we consider 3 year polytechnic diploma in civil engineering and architecture to be eligible from 1st year of the course

31. Do you have security for students on campus?

We have a Women Safety Cell, CCTV surveillance, security guards on each floor, and an anti- ragging committee that makes sure student are safe on campus.

32. What is the purpose of the creative portal?

The creative portal is one of our biggest innovations. It provides placement assistance to all the JD students by directly connecting them to prospective employers.

33. Do you have entrance examination?

No, we do not have an entrance examination since we consider the aggregate % of the marks in the previous educational qualification.
