Decipher is an unconventional and interesting piece of jewellery inspired by puzzles. The designer’s primary motive is to highlight the reality of life through her jewellery and portray innovation with the concept used. While conceptualizing, the designer was intrigued by the idea of life and tried to depict life as a big puzzle which comprises of various jumbled up components that can be adjoined together. Also drawing inspiration from Gothic architecture, the jewellery comprises of gothic arches, rose window, gargoyle and bat motifs. As a conscious designer, the jewellery is composed with recycled and upcycled silver, bamboo and wood. The shoulder gear in the product is made out of bamboo, where in the bamboo strips are weaved. This is done to get a firm platform. To get a bigger 3D effect, news papers are crushed and are stuck to the platform. These are then coated with primer to get a firm surface to paint gothic designs on it. The rest of the piece is made out of silver where various gothic inspired designs, textures and stones are put on the piece. The pieces in arm gear(Rat-bandhi) are detachable and once detached, one piece can be used as a pendant and the other as a necklace. The ring and bangles are made out of plywood, based on the concept of puzzle box. The concept can be translated into different variations of the same piece and hence, is extremely trendy and innovative.
