Established in 1988, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, the multiple award-winning Design Institute with 38+ learning centers across India, is nurturing masterminds from all over India to translate their dreams into success. Since its inception, the Institute has carved a niche in the field of design education and has metamorphosed into an industry leader that develops courses with a pulse on the needs of the industry. To cater to the ever-growing market, JD Institute offers a plethora of courses in the field of Fashion Design, Interior Design, Jewellery Design, Fashion Communication, Fashion and Lifestyle Entrepreneurship, Fashion Business Management, Visual Merchandising, Fashion Photography, and Hair and Make-up Artistry. With the aid of a vigorous combination of Research, Mentoring, Practical exposure, and Class-room training, the Institute plays a key role in shaping the students to become the industry experts of tomorrow.
JD Institute of Fashion Technology as the educational division of JD Educational Trust, is one of the oldest and premiere institute of art and design in India The exciting journey began with Mr. Chandraakant Dalal (President) whose passion and dedication led to the expansion of the Institute across different cities in India and Mr. R.C Dalal (Co-founder) an iconic pioneer in the field of fashion and art education. Advancing the dreams and aspirations of the visionaries, the rich legacy is taken forward by Mr. Nealesh Dalal, Managing Trustee, JD Educational Trust who heads the Bangalore office, Mr. Yogesh Dalal who heads the Mumbai corporate office and Ms Rupal Dalal, the Exceutive Director of Delhi Corporate center.

JD’s Vision, as the motto says “Welcome to Imagination “is to provide a world-class infrastructure, with state of the art facility, well-equipped library and having the industry experts shaping the JEDIIIANS to upskill their creativity, developing their thoughts and executing their imagination.
JD Institute’s mission is to change how people perceive design and make India one of the Design Hub in the world. The Institute thrives for one goal; to constantly inspire and encourage students to follow the three pillars for which JD stands for: Innovation, Sustainability, and Eco-friendly.
Associations, Accreditations and Affiliation
Providing students with the right kind of industry exposure has always been a priority at JD Institute. In line with this purpose, JD is affiliated to Bengaluru Central University, Goa University (pertains to only degree courses at Bangalore and Goa center), and is a collaborative partner with Sunrise University (for MSc courses in Bangalore and BSc/MSc courses in Cochin).
The Institute is also a member and associated with various prestigious bodies like Cumulus, Indo Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Indo French chamber of commerce and Industry, the council of EU chambers of business in India, EQAC (Education quality accreditation Commission, Spain).
It is also creative partners with Adobe India, IIID, ADI and does collaborative and study abroad projects with KOEFIA, Rome, Italy, National Design Institute, Russia, London College of Fashion, Chelsea College of Arts, London and Georgian College, Canada.
